The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The company issue established for intervention encounters a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to permit the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
